Cuttack, Feb 27: Eminent writer Dr Prativa Ray has been chosen for the the prestigious Sahitya Bharati Samman-2015 for her distinguished contributions to Odia literature.
The Gangadhar Rath Foundation Trust set up by distinguished lawyer late Gangadhar Rath gives away this and many other literary awards every year.
Announcing the winners of the awards, the Trust said that linguist Padma Shri Devi Prasanna Patnaik would get the Gangadhar Smaraki Samman, Dr Sangram Jena would get Bhanuji Rao Samman, Jashodhara Mishra would get Binapani Mohanty Katha Sahitya Puraskar and Dr Gobind Chandra Chand and Dr Chandan Das would jointly get Subrat Rath memorial award.
All the awards would be conferred on the winners by Padma Bibhusan Seetakanta Mohapatra at a function here on March 13.
Litterateur Prafulla Kumar Mohanty would be the chief speaker at the award-giving ceremony next month.
