WTC ties up with OSIC

Bhubaneswar, July 21: OSIC has the mandate for providing Export marketing and service support to the MSE entrepreneurs of the State. In the light of this, OSIC has created an Export Division in the corporation on 20.01.2016. The Corporation   has the Export merchant license issued by DGFT and also has past experience in Export marketing.

The World Trade Centre (WTC), has tied-up with OSIC in order to support, promote and strengthen the export activities of the State. MOU is signed between OSIC and WTC today in IDCOL Auditorium, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Partha Sarathi Mishra, IAS, Managing Director, OSIC and Mr. A. O. Kuruvila, Advisor, WTC, Mumbai signed the MOU. Now onwards by virtue of this understanding the MSEs of the State can use this International platform of WTC which has presence in 92 Countries with 327 Centres all over the World.

The MOU signing ceremony was graced by Sj. Jogendra Behera, Hon’ble Minister, MSME & PG PA, Govt. of Odisha. He said that Odisha has a huge potential to become a leader in various products and services. “It is known that WTC which is head quartered at New York is a global network to reach out to various countries. Thus with the MoU today between OSIC and WTC, I look forward not only to OSIC but all other associated department to work together with WTC for market development and market penetration opportunities for the MSMEs of the state”, he added.

Shri G. K. Dhal, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME, Shri. N. Vaidyanathan, I.T.S, Assistant DGFT, Cuttack and other senior Govt. officials and Exporters of the State were also present.
