Bolangir, Mar 23: Last night a youth on being allegedly beaten up by in police arrest, was admitted to the Bolangir hospital in a critical condition. It’s said that the youth was beaten up as a part of the investigation into a young woman harassment case. Th case was that a 19-year old tribal girl was thrashed with her hair being chopped off by a villager in Pardhiapali under Sadar police limits here on Mar 6. The name of the youth is Trinath Behera. A police complaint was also filed by the victim against her neighbour Byasa Pradhan and his family members. The victim also alleged that after chopping off her hair, the girl as made to wear a shoe garland round her neck. As per the victim, she was thrashed brutally on charges of mobile theft.
