Bhubaneswar, Jan 20: A youth who was allegedly posting objectionable content into a fake account on social media to defame a lady lawyer, was arrested today by the twin city police in the capital in Odisha.
Identified as Dinesh Sahoo, the accused was busted from the outskirts of Bhubaneswar today. He was arrested under sections 465, 469, 501, 506, 507 r/w sec 66 (e) of IT Act.
Acoodrding to reports, the accused had allegedly create a fake facebook account on the lawyers name and posted many obscene pics and comments to defame her. Besides, he had also threatened to attack with acid.
A complaint was registered at the Baragada PS in this regard on January 15, and accordingly the Bhubaneswar bar Association members also staged a road block near the court, demanding to arrest the evil.
