Jajpur: A youth from Jajpur district of Odisha reportedly lost Rs 91 lakh in online gaming recently. According to him, he became prey to an online fraud.
The victim has been identified as Dhirendra Kumar Patnaik of Bidyadharpur village under Sadar Block of Jajpur.
As per reports, Dhirendra lost Rs 91 lakh by playing online games in an organization called Daman. He initially started playing with Rs 500 and won money. As he earned money, his greed grew. Gradually, he invested more and more money in playing.
Even he reportedly also invested his 9 guntha land, 400 grams of gold, Rs 10 lakh from his personal savings and Rs 10 lakh from his borrowings, making a total of Rs 91 lakh.
