Jajpur: Police here arrested a 24-year old youth on charges of raping a seven year-old girl on Saturday night in Sambharapali village under Barachana police station in Jajpur district.
The accused Sanjaya Bangira (22) of village Sambharapali on Saturday night sexually assaulted the minor girl while she was sleeping in her house.
The victim girl was also medically examined by the doctors of the Government hospital in Barachana, said Umakanta Nayak the IIC of Barachana police station.
