Puri, April 9: Police here recovered the body of a youth with his throat slit at Puri Railway station in the wee hours on Friday.
The youth, suspected to have been murdered, has been identified as Sanatan Patra, a resident of Baunsiapara in Nayagarh district. He was working in a bakery and was staying in Puri rail station area.
The body of Sanatan was discovered in a pool of blood in front of the ticket counter of Puri rail station.
Sanatan is believed to have been attacked by miscreants near the parcel office of the station at around 4 AM. There are signs of a scuffle between Sanatan and miscreants near spot where the dead body was recovered.
The officer in-charge of Railway Protection Force (RPF), PK Bhoi said a scientific team is probing the matter.”
