On Friday, lightning struck a primary school in Odisha’s Deogarh district, gravely injuring at least ten pupils.
According to sources, up to 17 students were attending a lecture when lightning struck the Puturapasi school in the Tileibani block, inflicting 10 with severe burns.
The ceiling of the classroom was ripped open by terrifying thunder and lightning strikes. An ambulance was dispatched right away, and the students were transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. When lightning struck the school, it was pouring severely. The effect was so powerful that ten kids went unconscious.
