Children Who Lost Their Parents To Covid, To Receive Rs 2500 Every Month
Puri, August 28: In an overwhelming step, the Odisha Government and the Puri District Administration have provided financial assistance to 117 children under the Ashirbad Yojana: For specially cared children, today.
As per reports, 117 children from Puri district will receive an amount of Rs 2500/- every month as a relief measure after the demise of either or both of their parents during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The continuing Covid-19 Pandemic has not just affected the elders but even the children. Many children around the globe have lost their both or either of their parents in this pandemic. After loosing the sole bread earner of the family, questions have rising about the financial security and future of these children.
Odisha Government, however, committed for the welfare of these children has taken vast initiatives to support these children. one of them is Ashirbad yojana literally aims at rehabilitation and continuation of the kids’ life in similar family based non-institutional socio-cultural environment, where ever feasible and in the best interest of the child. It also ensures that care givers and other kith and kins are encouraged to provide best of the care to these children.
