Bhubaneswar: August 9: Odisha registered death of 13 COVID Positive patients in last 24 hours. According to Health & Family Welfare Department, 6 persons died from Ganjam, 2 from Koraput and one each from Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Balasore, Bargarh & Nayagarh. With this, death toll in the State rose to 272.
So far, Ganjam registered 131 deaths due to the infection, followed by Khurda (35), Sundergarh (17) , Gajapati (16) and Rayagada (10).
Also, Health department has reported the demise of a 32-year old male COVID Positive patient of Puri District who expired due to cardiomyopathy with severe left ventricular dysfunction, tubercular peritonitis. With this, Number of COVID Patients died due to other than COVID reached 49.
