Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: Out of 30 districts, 19 districts of Odisha have been declared as Maoist prone. Till November 2016, a total of 55 encounters have been conducted in which 45 Maoists have been killed while 80 Maoist have been arrested and on the other hand, 7 security personnel as well as 5 BSF Jawans have also been killed during this encounter period.
This information was given by Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik in a written reply to a question by Kailash Kulesika, Member of Congress in Assembly on Monday.
