Malkangiri, Aug 25: On Wednesday night in Malkangiri district two home guards named Bisnu Majhi and Raghu Pujari died allegedly on consumption of poisonous liquor.
Both of them were working at the Gobindapali police outpost. It’s stated that on duty both complained of stomach ache and so were immediately admitted to the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The doctors there treated the duo but could not to save their lives. Dr Sapan Kumar Denda of the hospital informed that the two were admitted on different timings. One came in the afternoon whereas the other arrived at midnight. Surprisingly, both of them suddenly died following respiratory arrest.
However, the exact reason for their death is still unknown. Investigation into the incident has begun and it’s stated that the corpse of the two would be handed over to their family members after post-mortem.
