The Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar has been temporarily closed for the visitors on Wednesday as two wild elephants entered into the zoological park by breaking the Zoo boundary near Daruthenga. Official sources said, Chandaka Forest Division and Zoo authority have deployed teams of forest personnel to drive away the wild elephants.
For the safety of the visitors as well as the the animals, Nandankanan authority have decided to close the Zoo for the visitors for a temporary period.
Zoo officials and Chandaka wildlife division have been trying for the safe exit of the elephants from Zoo premises.
Visitors who have arrived today to visit the Zoo, returned without visiting the Zoo.
