Udala, Sept 9: To protest against the delay in construction of a road due to the indifferent attitude of the officials, irate students of a local college under Kaptipada block in Mayurbhanj on Thursday made two state government employees walk through the slush.
As per the students, the road is in a terrible condition and becomes dangerous for the people especially during the monsoon season.
The students staged road blockade by burning tyres which affected the vehicular movement for some time.
Yudhisthir Nayak, Kaptipada Block Development Officer (BDO) and an Assistant Engineer of Rural Development department went to the spot and calmed down the agitators to stop the road blockade. However, the students made the officials walk through the slush to make them realize their distressful experience every day at the road.
