Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: With the state unit of BJP upbeat over the visit of party president Amit Shah to city on Friday, the ruling BJD plans a mega blood donation camp on the day apparently to counter the saffron show.

The programme, organized by student wing of the party, was inaugurated by BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik in presence of senior ministers, MLAs, MPs and senior party functionaries at the state party office here. If the timing of the programme is anything to go by, there is no doubt that it is organized to counter the BJP show, feel political analysts. Naveen would continue his district visits, said party sources and he visited Jajpur today. Briefing the media on Shah’s visit, BJD spokesperson Samir Dash said the visit of Shah would have no impact on ruling party’s prospects in the panchayat polls.
