Puri, Nov 28: The Puri Beach Festival on Sunday evening came to end with a tragic moment when comedian Tattwa Prakash aka Papu Pom Pom apologized on his controversial statement on Lord Jagannath.
While performing a stand up on stage, during the beach festival, Papu said that the basil or tulsi leaves on the streets over which the dogs pee everyday are used in the rituals of lord Jagannath. He again expressed that those who say Jay Jagannath repeatedly are all sinners, said sources. Tension nabbed over as followers of Jagannath present at the spot protested the act and created a havoc demanding apologies from Papu.
Situation came under control after Papu apologized for his statements on stage.
