Cuttack: Yesterday the Orissa High Court denied to accept the request of self-styled godman, Sura Baba aka Surendra Mishra of Trahi Achyut Ashram to squash a case of land fraud case in Chhatrapur in Ganjam. The court maintained that the case cannot be squashed as it has got relevant evidence of fraud.
Notably, Sura Baba had managed to take possession of the land from Mochiram Sahu at Rs 12 lakh with a promise to cure his mentally deranged son, Binayak Sahu and got the land registered in the name of Trahi Achyut Trust. Leave alone curing his son, the self-styled godman later refused to pay Rs 12 lakh to Mochiram who lodged a complaint with the local police.
