Rairangpur, Jan 25: Yesterday at Jharapokharia village here in Mayurbhanj, a man strangulated his one and a half year old son. The name of the accused is Laxman Patra. While he was trying to escape, he was nabbed by the villagers who later handed him over to the police. According to the primary investigations, it is revealed that the motif behind the crime could possibly be family disturbances because of which Patra had to take such an extreme step. It’s stated that Laxman was trying to get married to another woman which was being opposed by his wife which build altercations between the two. He had tried to kill his wife and son a number of times in the past. However, yesterday he went on to the extreme level and strangulated his son Biswaranjan Patra.
