Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, Mar 6: Yesterday the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik flagged off a mini-marathon at Biju Patnaik park here to mark the Biju birth centenary. The marathon ended at the Kalinga stadium. 3,000 participants took part in the event to commemorate the contribution of the legendary Biju Patnaik to modern Odisha. Later, the chief minister garlanded the statue of legendary statesman on the premises of State Assembly. Similarly, another minister marathon was organised by the Veteran Sports Persons Association in Cuttack. It was inaugurated by BJD legislator Ranendra Pratap Swain from Anand Bhawan, the ancestral house of the former chief minister.
