Cuttack, Mar 6: The re-polling for the panchayat elections at Niali block was finally held today with 15 booths at Pokharigaan Gram Panchayat. Elaborate security measure were taken by the cuttack district police to ensure safety of the people and to have free and safe elections. Good amount of security personnels were deployed in the area, while the entire event was video graphed.
Earlier, the polling at the Nialli block was cancelled and was re-polled today as on Feb 21, some miscreants looted the ballot box from the booths.
Even today there were reports of some group clashes, and the clips were also telecasted by some Media Channels.
