Bhubaneswar, Mar 10: Yesterday raids were conducted at the residences of the gangster brothers and offices of Tantiya constructions in Cuttack and Kolkata. The search was done on all the financial transactions of the two notorious gangster brothers named, Susil and Sushant Dhalsamant. They are now lodged in jail in the state since their arrest last year. They had been arrested on Jan 28, 2016 from the capital city itself. Later, the cops seized a huge cache of arms including a sophisticated carbine and weapons from their possession. The Enforcement Directorate initiated the raids as a part of the ongoing investigation on the money trail and sources of wealth of the gangster duo, which is expected to be about Rs 100 crore. These raids happened in a few days after the ED officials quizzed some the associates of the two including a few businessmen on Mar 1. Five businessmen including scrap dealer Bhola Bhagat were quizzed regarding their links as well as other financial dealings with the Dhalsamant brothers.
