Angul, Mar 8: In a shocking mishap, believed to be a 22-year-old elephant, was found dead near the Khamar forest range in Angul district, late last night.
The elephant, believed to be of 20-22 years old came in contact with a low lying overhead 11kv live wire and died on the spot, while she was trying to enter a farmland to eat crops near the forest range, said the forest officials after reaching the spot, early today.
The details about the female elephants’ death case are still being examined and the actual reports will be out soon, said sources.
