Bhubaneswar, Mar 9: To have a safe summer as the mercury level rises, Chief secretary Aditya Padhi has yesterday instructed all the District Collectors to make sure that all bore wells & piped water facilities across the state function properly.
In a review meeting, headed by CS Padhi, discussions on this was held over video conferencing. To keep the measure, water observers will be appointed to monitor the bore well and pipeline work in the state, who will submit their report directly to the state government.
The govt will take the help of mass media too. A Control rooms will follow up in each district to confirm the mass media reports about any water issue and it will be resolved within 48 hours, said Padhi.
