Nimapara, Aug 4: During a Gherao in front of the CDPO’s office in Nimapada of Puri district attempted by Odisha BJP women activists, four police personnel were injured in a clash between the two, police and BJP female activists.
This time, female police personnel were deployed at the CDPO’s office to maintain decorum at the time of demonstration by the activists. But at last, the male police personnel had to come into the scene after the activists started a violent scuffle and tried to barge into the office.
The gherao was led by BJP Mahila Morcha President, Pravati Parida who said that it was the police who misbehaved with the party workers first on the allegation put upon by the police that they were attacked by the activists. The party workers also staged a dharna post which, three BJP workers, including two women was arrested.
