Bhubaneswar, May 18: In a major breakthrough operation by the special squad of Commissionerate police, the team today apprehended 4 wanted veteran dacoits for their involvement in various robbery and loot cases across the state. The accused identified as Sushant Sahoo aka Lipu (26) of Jagatsinghpur , Suvrajeet Parida aka Pintu (29) of Jajpur, Harihar Samal aka Harihar mental (34) of Cuttack and Rama Ramana Sethy aka Pyari/ Tutu (27) of Kendrapada, have a hand in over 50 cases including 20 present cases.
In the meanwhile, the cops have recovered 8 motorcycles, 51 gms of gold, 14 cricket bats, 19 cellphones and 14 pairs of tracksuit from their possession and interrogating them to get further information about their other partners (if any).
Notably, the accused persons generally commit burglary in electronic shops, sports shops and vacant houses in the morning time both in and around here, by tying the inmates. They have also been in the wanted list at major PS in Odisha for their involvement in a series of robbery in other parts of Odisha.
