Cuttack, Aug 22: Today outrage erupted at Banki Autonomous College when a violent strike took place between two groups of students inside the college premises. It’s stated that an argument led to the strike between the two due to some unknown reasons. Later, the argument turned violent leading to both groups attacking each other. As a result, around seven students from both the groups sustained injuries and were later admitted to hospital for treatment.

Along with this, some students staged a road block in front of the college by burning tyres. Seeing all this, the college authorities have declared a Sine Die for few days and have also asked the students to vacate the hostel immediately. Although the reason is yet to be known sources say that the clash is likely to be a recurrence of a previous group clash that took place a year back. To avoid any unwanted situation in future, police teams have been deployed at the premises. However, no reaction from the college authorities could be obtained in this regard.
