Puri, July 27: Today the District Police declared eight servitors, including Damodara Mahasuara and his brother Jayakrusna Mahasuara, accused of manhandling the media persons and misbehaving with the Puri Collector during the Niladri Bije on July 17 and issued posters having their photos at various places.
This took place just after the district police tightened non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against the six servitors from the Puri SDJM court. The cops identified two other accusatory from the video footage available with them as aid by Puri SP, Sarthak Sarangi. The Crime Branch will be asked to circulate the posters as the miscreants might have left the State, he further added.
Besides, the police have taken two more servitors, Surya Narayan Pujapanda and Brundabana Pujapanda behind bars on the basis of the video footage in connection with the collector misbehavior case. As of now, 12 servitors have been arrested in the case.
