Bhubaneswar, Jan 20: Home Secretary here on Wednesday reviewed the preparation of strategies to combat Maoists menace in several districts of the state.
Police DGP KV Singh said the meeting was held to discuss the strategies to counter the red rebels in the state.
Stating that 2015 was a successful year of security personnel, he said the naxals are resorting to violence and killing innocent tribal people as their support base is decreasing in tribal dominated areas.
He said combing operation will be intensified against the Maoists in the state.
Top officials of Odisha police attended the review meeting.
