Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: State government has decided to purchase 4500 Metric ton potatoes from the farmers directly fromMarch 1 onwards.
A high level meeting recently decided to procure the kitchen essential through Odisha State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd (MARKFED).
A committee comprising representatives of Horticulture Directorate, MARKFED, Supply Corporation and Market Intelligence officials has been formed to determine the quality of the tuber during procurement.
