Itanagar, Feb 4: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prashad Rajkhowa has met senior officials to streamline and rationalize developmental funds of the state.
In a meeting with senior officials Tuesday, the governor reviewed the guiding principle and course of action for the 13th Finance Commission grants for forest related activities among others.
He said that the State Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF) projects would be reviewed and finalized by a committee under the chairmanship of Advisor G S Patnaik.
“Funds would be distributed rationally as per population, backwardness and special needs of the area,” Rajkhowa said.
The governor expressed surprise that the previous plan for SIDP fund distribution as per planning department had excluded Anjaw, Namsai, Changlang, Longding and Kra Daadi districts.
The governor had said that the 13th Finance Commission which was already approved previously by the last High Level Monitoring Committee (HLMC) should be implemented and no arbitrary changes be made on the project priority list.
The governor had reviewed several projects and instructed that funds should be equitably distributed to all Assembly constituencies.
