Jagatsinghpur Feb 22: A woman and her four-year old daughter were killed in a fire mishap at Dhanura Belari village under Balikuda police limits in the district on Sunday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Sandhya Sethi (mother) and Priyanka Sethi (daughter).
According to sources, the girl sustained 85 per cent burn injuries in the accident. She was rushed to SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack where she succumbed to her injuries, the sources added.
The exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile mother of Sandhya, Laxmipriya Sethi has alleged family fight as the reason behind the death of the duo and termed it as murder.
Investigating police officer Rabindranath Malla said that Police were investigating the matter,” Malla added.
