KV, Navodaya, tech institute teachers join +2 evaluation

Bhubaneswar, April 9: With the evaluation of annual Plus Two answer scripts being seriously hampered for the last five days due to the ongoing strike by the teachers and staffs of 448 and 662 categories of non-government and aided colleges in the state, the Odisha government on Saturday engaged teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, technical institutes and others having Post Graduate degrees (M Sc) with one year of teaching experience in the evaluation.

Sources said as per the request of State government evaluation of annual Plus Two papers has begun Saturday by the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, technical institutes and others having Post Graduate degrees (M Sc) with one year of teaching experience at the evaluation centres allotted to them.

For smooth evaluation, these teachers have been provided with model answer for each question, they said.

Notably, a decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting presided over by the secretary, Higher Education, GVV Sharma at the State Secretariat here Friday evening.

However, leaders of 662 category of college teachers and staffs, said the efforts of the state government will not be successful.
