Bhubaneswar: May 03: Bus Fare increased in Odisha Under the automatic mechanism system. Commerce and Transport department has issued a notice regarding this.
The fare for ordinary and express buses has been increased by 1 paisa per kilometre and the fare for Deluxe and AC Deluxe category buses has been increased by 2 paise per kilometre. Now, fare of ordinary Bus will be 58 paise per km whereas express Bus fare became 61 paise per km. Likewise, Delux category Buses and Delux AC Buses will charge 80 paise per km and Rs 1.01 per km.
Notably, State Government on March 19 this year revised the bus fare under the automatic mechanism following the increase in diesel price. Rise and fall in bus fares are determined under the automatic mechanism system as announced on June 4 last year.
