Bhubaneswar, May 14 : Even after Union Food Supply and Public Distribution minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s assurance to supply higher quota of rice under National Food Security Act, the ruling BJD today held a state-wide agitation today.
BJD is doing demonstrations at all district headquarters across the state and will submit a memorandum to the governor through district collectors.
BJD has started its campaign demanding higher quota of rice from May 3 and on May 11, Union Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan criticised BJD for doing politics on the issue and assured to fulfill the demand by June 2016.
