Bhubaneswar: June 15: The Special Designated Court today allowed the Crime Branch of Odisha Police to take Oscar chief Prabhas Rout on another five-day remand. Crime Branch produced Rout today in the court after a completion of a five-day remand and had prayed before the court to take Rout on a seven-day remand. But, Court granted only for 5-days. Crime Branch will now try to get more information from Oscar chief on its empire, details of stage shows organised by the Company and involvement of Ollywood actors. Also, the court allowed Crime Branch to take Director of Oscar Tara Prasad Hota on a three-day remand. Sources said, a team of Crime Branch will visit Gujarat tomorrow to get details on Oscar’s properties and all.
Notably, Oscar had 58 branches in Gujarat and through these branches, it had collected money from the people promising high returns on deposits.
