Bhubaneswar, July 4: The Former Assistant Director of the Directorate of Factories and Boilers, Dr Motilal Gouda, to be produced before court on Monday. The Crime Branch will produce him at the District and Sessions Court Bhubaneswar. After that CB will take him on a five-day remand, official sources said. He will be produced in the court at noon.
Notably, Dr Gouda arrested in Vizianagram. He had been accused of issuing a fake Gazette Notification ordering an engagement of five private labs for employee’s health check-up in factories and industries. He also managed to sign a contract with NALCO, a Navaratana PSU company by issuing a fake notification of health checkup for NALCO’s staff at Gouda’s pathology laboratory and also in a move to sign another contract of Rs. 1.02 crore, but alas! was caught in red handed.
The state government suspended Motila Gouda including more 407 medical officers from government service for remaining absent for a long time period on duty. On Saturday CBI had also raided his residence and clinic in case of possession of disproportionate of assets.
