NCSC to hold meeting today for Kandhamal firing incident

Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi, July 21: The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) will hold an important meeting in Delhi on Thursday regarding the Kandhamal firing incident which took the lives of five innocent villagers including two women and a child. Odisha Home secretary Asit Tripathy, DGP, KB Singh and SC/ST Secretary, Surendra Kumar are to be present at the meeting today as the NCSC had informed them to do so on Wednesday.  

Notably, Chairman of NCSC, PL Punia had made a visit earlier on last thursday to Gumudumaha village to share condolescence and interact with the family members and relatives of the victims. He had declared that serious action would be taken against the culprits.
