Bhubaneswar, July 28: With motorcycle rally, leaded by Sanjay Das Verma, BJD leader, hundreds of BJD workers on Wednesday staged a protest in front of Jharsuguda Collectorate on the incident of Mahanadi row against Chhattisgarh.
Along with him, Minister Pramila Mallick, Snehangini Chhuria, Rajya Sabha member Prasana Acharya, Lok Sabha member Prabhas Kumar Singh, MLA Rohit Pujari, former legislators Mangala Kisan and Sharada Nayak, Kishor Mohanty, chairman of Western Odisha Development Council, Anup Sai Chairman of lift irrigation were also present in the protest. They condemned the barrage construction work over Mahanadi by Chhattisgarh, which would affect 15 districts in Odisha.
Jharsuguda police arrested 82 BJP workers along with Brajrajnagar MLA Radha Rani Panda to avoid any kind of law and order situation.
