Bhubaneswar, July 28: BJD is likely to move a privilege motion against Minister of State for Water resources, Sanjeev Balyan’s misleading facts in Parliament. BJD announced this today after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik termed the facts as fallacious.
By terming the facts as false given by the MoS in Parliament, BJD MP, Nagendra Pradhan said it is only to mislead people regarding the issue. BJD would bring a privilege motion for this. Meanwhile, Pratap Deb, BJD spokesperson also informed that the information given by Chhattisgarh Government regarding the Kelo project, Arpa-Bhainsjhar project in 2015 was also incorrect and false.
By giving his reaction on BJD’s move, Balyan said that, he only presented the facts as it was given by the Chhattisgarh Government and he also said that Chhattisgarh government has shared DRP with the Odisha Government.
Uma Bharati, Union Water Resources Minister also contradicted the allegation by saying the facts are not misleading, also asked to Odisha Government about their non-immediate action after the DRP given by Chhattisgarh government.
Disagreements regarding the facts should be supported by counter-facts before the House, Dharmendra Pradhan, union petroleum minister said in his reaction.
Mocking Naveen Patnaik, Pradhan said that what can be said about someone who is in a passive mode while pretending to remain active all the time.
