Athagarh, Aug 5: The death of the girl, whose body was found under Jatamundia bridge in Banki on August 2, which had left the police puzzled, has finally been solved by the police as the accused driver and conductor of a bus have been arrested for first abducting the girl and later raping her and dumping her body in Mahanadi river in Cuttack after murdering her.
As per sources, the victim who was a resident of Gourangpur near Athgarh in Cuttack district, was allegedly abducted in a bus and was raped by the driver and conductor at Ratagarh. Later, the two murdered her and threw her body into Mahanadi and fled from the spot.
