Bhubaneswar, Aug 9: In connection with the violence at a meeting of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), Commissionerate Police today served notices under CrPC-41A to five BJD corporators- Ranjan Khan, Bikash Behera, Anil Niladri, Itishree Behera and Dayanidhi Nayak.
Notably, on July 29, protesting the failure of State Government for taking measure on the dengue outbreak in the city, some Congress Corporators had undertaken dharana by putting up a mosquito net at the CMC Council meeting. BJD corporators tried to oppose them which later resulted into a scuffle in which few Congress corporators were beaten up by the BJD corporators.
