Bhubaneswar, Aug 11: In connection to the fake disability certificate issued to the wife of Himanshu Kar, a close aide of arrested Motilal Gouda, the Crime Branch on Wednesday interrogated two doctors cum former members of the Medical Board named SK Meher, former doctor of the Capital Hospital and Khirod Panda, former audiologist of the Capital hospital. The Board had issued the disability certificate to Himanshu’s wife Srabani in 2008.
However, during interrogation, both of them denied their involvement in this matter.
The Crime Branch had asked about the signature made on the certificate by showing a document, Meher told the media persons. He said that he was only the countersigning authority.
Audiologist Panda in his statement said he still does not remember about the certificate and though the board said that the certificate had been issued on the basis of his report as he was an audiologist, he could not find any report.
Notably, ENT doctor Santosh Panda had been interrogated by the Crime Branch earlier, suspecting his connection with Motilal Gouda in the fake gazette notification scam case.
