Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: On Friday, a charge sheet against Sunil Meher and his associates has been submitted by Commissionerate Police. Sunil Meher is a notorious criminal involved in immoral trafficking for a long time and is kingpin of sex racket in Odisha.
Meher, who was wanted in nine cases and had managed to dodge the police during raids earlier, was running sex rackets both in the State as well as outside. Around 150 girls, mostly college students, worked as call girls and ‘paid girlfriends’ for rich customers across the country. In March, a young Kyrgyz woman was rescued from an apartment in Bhubaneswar whom he had allegedly managed to rope into his flesh trade.
Notably, the Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Commissionerate Police had arrested Meher in Kolkata on August 21.
