Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: On Sunday, both the Opposition parties, Congress and BJP alleged that the ruling BJD’s 12-member team skipped the Saradiha barrage site fearing stiff protest from the locals staging Jal Satyagraha while on their visit to the two barrage sites constructed by Chhattisgarh government on the upper catchment of Mahanadi.
It’s stated that the team ignored the site as it had no courage to face its own fault, thus lacking seriousness on the pertaining issue. On the contrary, BJD refuted these allegations. The team is expected to submit its tour report within a couple of days to the State government.
