Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: On Wednesday, thousands of teachers under the School Teachers Federation of Odisha (STFO) on Wednesday took out a rally from Bhubaneswar railway station to Lower PMG square demanding abolition of the block grant system, provision of full aid, permanent appointment and government take-over of all private schools.
Convener of STFO, Prakash Mohanty said that the teachers of 167 schools, 87 ME schools are not getting full aid. The teachers demanded that the government should make arrangements to give them their due before the elections and also, the government should take-over these schools, Mohanty further added.
