Two more accused, connected to the Khurda-Golipada Loot case, in Police Custody

Khurdha, Aug 19: Two more persons named Bikash Chandra Behera of Dashpalla Madhyakhanda in Nayagarh district and Sukant Paikray of Kaimati near Jatni in Khurdha district involved in the incident of loot which had occurred at Khurdha Golipada toll gate were taken into police custody. The police also seized Rs 2.55 lakh in cash, two new bikes and a car from their possession.

Police had conducted a raid at a house at Palla in Khurdha where the duo was staying and thus caught them. Investigation revealed that the miscreants had done the loot based on the information given by three staffs at the toll gate. The accused toll gate staffs have now escaped.

Earlier, one more accused was arrested. Notably, Rs 48 lakh was looted from the toll gate on June 13.
