Kendrapada, Aug 19: The 82 Km long, Paradip-Haridaspur railway work was reviewed by BJD MP from Kendrapara, Baijayant Panda with the project director on Thursday.
On the other hand, as per the plan of the project, the construction of bridge over Mahanadi was completed recently and by September the construction work of bridge over Luna River will be completed.
Till January 31, 2016, Rs. 578.5 crore was spent from the allocated amount of Rs 1559 crore for this project. Compensation has been paid for the 1456.5 acres land which was acquired for the project. After a meeting between Panda and the Union Environment Minister, environmental clearance had been obtained in October last year.
Industrial development would be boosted in the Kendrapara district after the completion of the project, Panda informed.
