Puri, Aug 19: After one day prior to ransacking incident happened at Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), six persons were arrested by the police on Friday.
Notably, a heart disease patient named Nabakishore Jena, residence of Batagaon died at the hospital where doctor declared him as dead. After that, by alleging medical negligence reason behind that, family members of the patient, by ransacking the hospital, broke three computers, ACs, lights and oxygen cylinder and thrashed some doctors and staff.
Pointing at the Security system of the Hospital, four senior doctors of the hospital had resigned from their job on Thursday.
The doctors at the Puri District Headquarters Hospital on Thursday had ceased work. Later, after an assurance by the Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi for 24X7 security to the doctors, the cease work stir by the doctors was called off yesterday.
