Khurda, Aug 31: In another road mishap today morning in Khurda district, at least two persons were killed and seven injured when a speeding tomato laden truck coming from Berhampur hit a stationary oil tanker on NH-16 at Brahmanakoshadiha village near Damodarpur Chhak under Balugaon police limits.
After the clash, the truck overturned and hit into a tea shop and squashed two persons identified as Keshav Paikaray (40) of Parikansari village and Sanatan Maharana (45) of Paikosidiha village to death on the spot.
After getting the information about the mishap, the local Tehsildar and police rushed to the spot. The tea shopkeeper, driver of the truck and five others who sustained injuries in the accident were rescued and admitted to Balugaon hospital for treatment.
