Keonjhar, Sep 9: Another 3 year old child named Barun Dehury was marked with hot iron branded. The child belongs to Balaga village under Joda block here. He has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital here and is stated to be critical. The Paediatrician in Charge, Dr. Ajay Mohanty informed that the child had three to four epileptic seizures and he is under respiratory support. The child’s father said that Barun was suffering from high fever for the last four days. He was taken to the hospital for treatment where doctors told that he was suffering from cerebral malaria. Following that he was taken home. Since fever continued his aunt branded him on his neck and leg to cure him of his illness. However, as his health condition deteriorated he had been have admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
